It is often useful to have a moderator help manage a virtual event. Someone with moderator permissions has full control over the webinar with access to the Host Control Panel. Find the complete list of capabilities here.

Note: Only a moderator can end a webinar. It is strongly recommended that at least one person managing a virtual event has moderator permissions.

Unlike a speaker, a moderator's profile can be hidden from appearing on the Speakers or Schedule blocks on your website. They will, however, be visible to your audience if they enter the Virtual Studio.

To create a moderator, navigate to the Scheduling module and then select the Speakers menu item. Create a new speaker profile and then scroll down to the "Virtual Experience Session" section.

Next, select the "Moderator" checkbox to assign moderator permissions. Finally, if you wish to hide the moderator from the audience, select the "Hide Profile" checkbox.

NOTE: To access the webinar room, all speakers and moderators must also register for the event using the same email address associated with their profile. Once a profile exists and they have registered, they must sign into the event website and then select the Speaker Area menu item.
