You are able to set up a waitlist for registration that will automatically promote people on a first-come-first-served basis.

If you need to promote someone from that waitlist manually follow these instructions:

1. Create your registration pass (ie. Event Pass) and add a capacity.
2. Just below the capacity field, a waitlist option will appear. Enable the waitlist.
3. Allow people to register and form a waitlist.
4. Create a new pass (ie. Waitlist Promoted Pass) and a new Group (ie. Waitlist Promoted Group).
5. Create a registration code to provide access to that group (ie. “waitlist-promo”). Set the number of these codes that can be used.
6. Enable the new pass inside the new group and disable it in the “Public” group. Do not enable the existing “Event Pass” for the new group. If the new pass requires a price, set it accordingly.
7. If you identify someone on the waitlist you’d like to promote manually, navigate to their profile under Registration > Attendees. Then select “Cancel Waitlist”.
8. Immediately send the person an email letting them know that they have been promoted from the waitlist and mention they will receive an email letting them know their waitlist position was “cancelled”. Technically their position was cancelled but they are, in fact, being promoted. Include a link to the registration page and tell them to enter the code “waitlist-promo”. Tell them they will need to re-register.
