Microsoft Word frequently uses special codes for formatting and when content is copied this code will be included. Sometimes this can cause significant formatting problems in HTML-based editors, such as the Rich Text Editor.

For this reason it is important that you clean up any content copied from Word. You can easily do this by first pasting it into a plain text editor, recopying it, and then pasting it into the Rich Text Editor.
