On the Review Applicants screen, you can find a list of all received speaker applications. If you have enabled a notification to be sent to your email address whenever a new application is received, click the link in the email. Otherwise, this screen can be found by selecting the Speaker Workflows tab and then the Review Applicants menu item.

Note: New applications will appear at the top of your list, but you can filter by status or search for an applicant by using the search bar above the applicant list.

How to review a speaker application

Click on an applicant’s name to review their application. You’ll see the information they provided in their application as well as options to approve or reject the application. If you are not ready to take any action, click the "X" icon to return to the list of applicants.

If you approve an application, select the Approve button. This will open a dialog box where you can compose and send the applicant news of their acceptance. The Application Approval Email drafted on the Set Messaging screen will appear in this dialog, but you can edit it before sending. Once a speaker is approved, they’ll be added to the Speaker List, which you can access from the Speaker Workflows tab.

If you decline an application, select the Reject button. This will open a dialog box where you can compose and send the applicant news that their application was declined. The Application Rejection Email drafted on the Set Messaging screen will appear in this dialog, but you can edit it before sending.

Note: If you are satisfied with the speaker in general but there are issues with the application, you’ll need to notify them of the issues and request that they apply again using the same speaker application form. If the issue is minor, you may choose to accept the application but ask the speaker to send amended information or documents to you by email. You’ll need to visit the Speakers screen, under the Event tab, to update their profile.

Tip: You are able to export submitted speaker applications by clicking the “Export Applicants” button.
